Channel Sales Manager, HFS
Summary of Job Duties:
Under the general direction of the Director of Sales, this position will create successful sales opportunities; develop, direct, and execute account management activities in the HFS Channel class of trade.
Specific Job Duties:
- Manage and execute everyday business in partnership with the HFS Channel class of trade.
- Develop and implement annual key account promotion plans.
- Analyze sales components including merchandising, promotional and supply chain opportunities to drive consumption of both manufactured and vendor brands.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key decision makers in HFS Channel class of trade.
- Actively participate in the management of the overall selling process.
- Plan and direct all aspects of sales policies, objectives, and initiatives for HFS Channel class of trade
- Achieve sales volume targets and sales performance against budget and financial expectations.
- All other tasks as assigned by Threshold Management.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5-10 years as a sales leader in companies selling to the HFS channel
- Experience with Mass Market Channel customers or hybrid-mass customers that have a dedicated natural channel buying and merchandising division.
Desired Characteristics:
- Nutritional background a plus; knowledge of vitamins, dietary supplements and/or the Natural Products industry.
- Proven negotiation, problem solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to be in front of, anticipate, and take advantage of category trends.
