Summary of Job Duties

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is the leader of all financial operations and management, financial strategy, and financial policy for the company. As part of the senior management team, this proven and experienced leader will help take our company into its next phase. Our company is in a high growth area of health care manufacturing and distribution, and is poised to be an even more significant part.

The CFO will take an already successful 900 employee company with entrepreneurial roots, and help transition to a company with both corporate and entrepreneurial policies in order to maintain high profitability and competitive advantage. As a senior leader in the company, the CFO will be a key player and trusted colleague of the founder CEO and collaborate with the senior management team by delivering internal and external financial services and reports. Our CFO will also be a bottom-line thinker who will be responsible for controlling cash flow and maintaining company profitability.

Specific Job Duties:

  1. Manage and develop the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Information Technology (IT) Departments.
  2. Drive cost containment, cost controls, cost reduction, and efficiency at all levels throughout the organization through metrics, management, education, and inspiration of colleagues.
  3. Manage the drive toward full implementation of the existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computer system and network.
  4. Lead IT business and corporate initiatives.
  5. Fully implement cost accounting and total cost models in key areas throughout the company.
  6. Create, set, implement, manage, and maintain financial policies and procedures in all departments that result in greater stability, less risk, more efficiency, and more profits.
  7. Implement appropriate departmental budgeting, forecasting, Economic Order Quantities (EOQ's), and inventory level systems.
  8. Take over existing banking, auditing, tax, and insurance relationships, and manage those and other financial outsourced products and services.
  9. Work with the CEO and the Executive Management Team and other management colleagues by supporting internal customer service and financial functions needed by those managers.
  10. Establish and execute programs for the provision of capital required by the company, including negotiating the procurement of debt and equity capital. Coordinate the long-range plans of the company and develop supporting financial strategies.
  11. Work with the Controller to maintain compliance with all outside auditing, accounting firms and regulatory agencies and improve and maintain profit and loss statements, balance sheets, financial controls, obligations and records.
  12. Provide guidance and leadership for strategic mergers and acquisitions.
  13. Other tasks as assigned by Management.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

1. 10+ years of experience in Financial Management, preferably in a high volume business.

2. Degree in accounting, business management, or related field

3. Progressive senior management positions in accounting or finance

4. Computer literate any modem accounting system such as SAP or NAY, and on MS Word and Excel.

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills

6. Strong organization skills with people and paperwork.

7. Experience working well with management teams.

8. Excellent and successful relationship builder

 

Skills and or Training Desired Qualifications Required:

1. Certified Public Accountant and/or MBA

2. Mergers and Acquisitions and/or IPO experience

3. Total Quality Management training or experience.

4. Ability to multi-task regularly.
