Production Supervisor Mayra Gomez, a Threshold employee since 2004, oversees a day shift of 45 employees and a swing shift of 30 more. “Most of our Packaging team members are seasoned veterans with at least four-plus years of experience,” she says. To help train the newcomers, Gomez designates 15-year employees like Sonya Carrillo as master trainers. And these days there’s little room for error. With increased demand of Wellness Formula ® and other immune support products, Gomez’s teams are busier than ever.* “It’s a new challenge every day,” says Gomez. “This kind of volume isn’t necessarily a new thing for us here at Threshold, but the sustained intensity week after week is. Needless to say, we have a lot to do and a lot to complete.” Depending on quantity, orders range in size. Some take 20 minutes. Others take all day. Between each individual order, regardless of its size, the lines must be thoroughly cleaned and reset to ensure the highest quality of hygiene and efficiency.
