Janitor
Summary of Job Duties:
Under limited supervision, perform custodial duties to keep Threshold buildings, grounds and restrooms fully functional and clean. Assist in minor repairs to fixtures and systems.
Job Duties:
1. Vacuum Carpets, Sweep, Scrub and mop floors.
2. Clean and dust furniture
3. Clean blinds and glass in doors
4. Clean and service toilets, urinals and rest rooms
5. Clean and service break areas
6. Collect and place trash and debris in appropriate collection areas for removal by county contractors
7. Collect and place recycle material in collection areas for pick by recyclers.
8. Responsible for assisting in maintaining grounds, driveways and sidewalks/ pathways etc.
9. Assist in minor painting jobs
10. Report immediately any non-functional toilet, leaking faucets and any water damages
11. Maintain inventory of job related supplies
12. Perform required jobs as detailed in Master Cleaning Schedule
13. Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
1. A minimum of 6 months of Janitorial experience.
2. Ability to reach, lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
3. Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
4. Must be able to spend long hours standing.
